concept note
“The universe indeed is Brahman, established as mere essence through the māyā of Viṣṇu;Delimited by the Lord, it appears in time in an unmanifest form.”
Indian civilization is among the most ancient and continuously evolving civilizations in the world. Its distinctive feature lies in the fact that it has not been grounded merely in material advancement, but has been deeply rooted in spiritual, moral, philosophical, and cultural values. The essence of Indian culture is to preserve and nurture धर्म (dharma), ethical conduct, a sense of duty, life values, and a well-ordered social structure within society.
“He who pervades and governs the intellect of the entire universe-Him the knowers of the Self describe as the all-conquering, purifying fire.”
The expression “snehen manah badhnāti yaḥ” means “one who binds hearts through affection is truly a kinsman.” Traditionally, kinsmen are classified into three types: those related to oneself, to the father, and to the mother. The term bandhutā denotes the collective sense of kinship and is understood in a broader sense as fraternity. Although classical lexicons such as Śabdakalpadruma often interpret ‘world’ and ‘kin’ primarily in terms of blood relations, the Indian perspective transcends this limitation and envisions the entire living world as one family. In the contemporary global scenario, marked by intense competition, rapid technological advancement, and constantly evolving socio-economic structures, every nation faces the challenge of preserving its unique identity and cultural foundations while harmonizing with modern innovations. For a country like India, endowed with an ancient and rich civilizational heritage, this responsibility becomes even more significant. Its knowledge traditions—encompassing the Vedas, Upaniṣads, philosophical systems, Ayurveda, astronomy, mathematics, and other disciplines—offer a comprehensive framework for holistic human development.Ancient Indian knowledge traditions have not been confined merely to spiritual or philosophical thought; they have also made remarkable contributions to science, technology, medicine, social organization, and environmental balance. On the other hand, the modern era, characterized by innovation, scientific research, artificial intelligence, digital technologies, and global commerce, has introduced new dimensions of competition. Therefore, it becomes imperative to build a strong bridge between ancient wisdom and modern innovation, ensuring a harmonious balance between tradition and progress.

"Parisaṁvād was envisioned as more than a gathering. It is a deliberate space where unlikely voices meet, Where dialogue is not an end, but a beginning. As founders, we believed that real change Demands shared ownership. Across government, philanthropy, and the field. This is where ideas are tested, Commitments are made, And collaborations are built to endure. Beyond the room, and into action."

The integration of tradition, knowledge, and a modern outlook will lay the foundation for a strong India by 2047. The opportunity for transformation is not approaching—it is here and now, and Yajnavalkya stands as a pioneer of that change.”
Why Parisamvad
People Who Drive Change Come Together.
When the right minds gather, transformation becomes inevitable.
India’s complex socio-economic challenges often reside in the gaps between diverse social groups and knowledge traditions. These cannot be addressed by any single entity alone. Yajnavalkya Sevarth Sansthanam functions as an intellectual platform where scholars, academicians, and thought leaders engage in dialogue, collaboration, and evidence-based discourse to develop collective solutions.
